Testimonials

"Being an Ambassador allows me to speak to people with disabilities. Being part of Best Buddies has made me a more positive person about having a disability. And, I’m able to share my story with other people. When I share my story, it helps people understand more about disabilities. I tell everyone my goal is to touch hearts, change lives, and build one-to-one friendships for a better tomorrow! I’m doing my part to spread the love of Best Buddies around the world. That’s why they call me a Buddy Ambassador!"

Benjamin Ray, Citizens Program

"Best Buddies has impacted my life greatly. People with mental and physical disabilities deserve the same respect and compassion you give to anyone else in the world. My buddy, Austen, is the greatest person I know. She is so sweet and she has made my life in Las Vegas so much better. I wouldn't have been able to get through the hardships of moving to a new state/city without Austen's help. I love Best Buddies and I will strive to make sure that one day there will be no barriers between those without disabilities and those with disabilities."

Sam Howald, Chapter President 2009 - 2010, Sierra Vista High School

"I have a good time being in Best Buddies because I love how we have fun together. I think it is important to try to have fun with your buddy. It will hurt to not to have fun. It is fun to do a lot of stuff like go to the museum and go roller-skating. Just have fun. My buddy and I like to go bowling, talk on the phone and our favorite thing to do together is just be silly."

Sydney MacIntosh, Buddy Director 2009-2010, Bonanza High School

"Sydney is one of my best friends, and I really can't imagine my life without her. We are crazy when we are together, we laugh all the time. She keeps me so entertained and I love every second that we hang out! Our favorite thing to do is go to the movies. I learn something new every time we are together."

Taylor Todd, Chapter President at Bonanza High School
